No Idea What's Wrong With My Ram

my ram since yetsterday has been hovering in this little cave (not in the corner, not on the bottom), his fins are erect, his color looks good, but he stays in that place all the time and is breathing very fast and hard, water is soft, params ideal, what should i do?

What are the parameters?

What has been done letely? ANything changed, re-arranged, new additions, etc?

You have two? The other is still acting like nothing has happened? Any other fish paying more attention to him than usual?

Does he come out to eat?

They could be breeding, but this is unlikely in such a crowded tank.

As you can guess from my questions to the OP, I was leaning toward breeding, or some environmental / tankmate induced stress.

he doesn't seem too interested in food, the other fish aren't paying any attention to him and the other ram is as 100% happy and healthy as ever, i added two angels yesterday but i'm pretty sure he was like this the day before yesterday, i have:

-15 ppm nitrate
-0 ppm nitrite
-100 ppm total hardness
-180 ppm alk
-8.0 pH
-0 ammonia
