Plastic Staples?

The other day I was making a moss wall by sandwiching some Christmas moss in between two layers of screen. I started off tying the screen together using very small loops of fishing line, but this was a fairly large moss wall and I was running out of time before I had to move on to other things, so I finally gave up on using fishing line and pulled out a stapler. In just a few minutes I had fastened the rest of the screens together, however I knew that the metal staples would need to be removed before long because they would rust.

This brings me to my quest to find a better fish-friendly fastener for these types of tasks. My first thought was those plastic staples that they use on blue jeans tags. The only problem is I have been unable to find a reasonably priced fastener unit for these since they're really only used in retail situations.

I'm sure I could come up with some sort of rack to hold future moss wall sections, but I'm betting there are other circumstances where it would be nice to be able to "staple" something in a way that it can be submersed in an aquarium long term.

Suggestions? Thoughts?

Really small zip ties used to bundle wiring might work. Radio Shack, Home Depot, Lowe's, Builders' Square and Wal-Mart have them.

I'll look for those when I'm at Home Depot this evening. It may be a good compromise as I'd still have to do each loop by hand, but it'd be a lot easier than cutting and tying fishing line.

Thanks
