Help With Aquascape. Pics!

I'm almost embarrased to show this pic. it did not come out good but I don't have a tripod..

But I think it gets the point across although it looks much better IRL.

The Problem I'm having is that my Sunset Hygro (Rear left) Keeps wanting to take over my tank. I once went away for 2 weeks to come back to find my fish had hardley any room left! I'm thinking it might just not have a place in my 20 gallon. it sure grows fast.

The most obvious problem Is the large crypt right in front of the tank. believe me when I tell you it was no where near that big when I planted it and I had no idea it would get so tall. I want to remove it from the tank but it's a shame to throw away such a large Crypt Wendti...

I'm sonsidering taking out the Hygo and planting all 3 large crypts in the back corner.

I have some kinda aponogeton Bulb from wallmart growing in front as well. Only 2 out of 6-7 sprouted...

Driftwood has Anubias and java Fern attached to it.



Any suggestions?

I moved crypts before, I have a good success rate in this tank without melting them. But you never know... I love the way Hygro Looks in this tank but well it might be time for a change.

Can you recomend some good ground cover / forground plants? I thought crypt was supposed to stay small lol. I must be feeding it too much light.

The focal point is supposed to be the driftwood, and theres a smaller one in the corver (Obsideon rock) both of these have current flow over them so my shrimp will sit on them and filter feed all day.

I'd love to trade the large crypt ut I don't think anyone is really interested in it. I suppose I could put it in my 10 gallon it would look even larger in there!

I also have a couple pieces of Water lettuce floating on top, I forgot to mention... Perhaps I already have too many different species!

so everyone agrees that I shold remove the Hygro in favor of the Crypt?

Here is the rescape, I also re-scaped my 10 gallon. Top is 10 Gallon, bottom is the 20 gallon. I think the driftwood is too large for the 10G (it was in the 20 gallon in the first picture), so I have another similar piece only lighter in color and smaller soaking in a bucket for over a week now.

These tanks were re-scaped weekend before last, and the ground cover for the 20 gallon was added last thursday. TIme will tell how it will grow in.

Note: My Camera is only a Digital Elph and the images are NOT that fuzzy and contrasting IRL. I must have had the colors set to vivid as well. it looks much better IRL. Looking for the charger for my ancient G1 which will probably take much better pics!
