so i have been cycling my tank and it has stalled, it has high PH levels, it is up to 7.6, how do you keep it down? what is a cheap way to lower it?

do you know what your ph is out of the tap? what type of fish do you have that your trying to lower the ph?
to lower the ph you can add; driftwood (you can get at most any fish store), petemoss (any DIY store like home depot should carry it), or liquid ph buffer or ph down (any fish store)

Do test your tap pH as well. If your tap is around 7.6, I wouldn't worry about it. My pH is 7.6 in all my tanks (and from tap) and the fish are perfectly fine. The important thing is to have a stable pH, rather than trying to adjust it artifically.
IMO, the only time you'd try to adjust is if you have sensitive fish with specific pH requirments.

PH levels, it is up to 7.6, how do you keep it down? what is a cheap way to lower it? the cheapest way to lower it is to leave it alone. what makes you think it needs to be lowered? a ph of 7.6 is not at all 'high' and there's no reason or need to mess with it. chemicals will render your water chemistry unstable, since ph is a function of your kH and bottom line, your fish will be negatively impacted.

7.6 sounds like a perfectly fine pH to me... 8.something might be cause for concern, but 7.6 is practically neutral.

I'm just going to echo what everyone has said. 7.6 is not that high, It's almost neutral PH. It's better to have a stable 7.6 pH rather than a fluctuating pH which may be brought upon by any attempt to alter your current ph through chemicals and the like. Good Luck ;)
