i have this 55 gallon used and need to clean it out i have been told vinegar is good to use
also should i reseal the silicone and how would i do that

Vinager is a very good cleaner for used tanks. It will take off all of the hard water stains. Just be sure to rinse it till you can't smell the vinager any more. As far as re sealing the silicone it depends on how old the tank is and if it has any leaks.
