I am in the midst of setting up a 110 marine tank. I had the tank drilled last week and ordered a 42 gallon custom refugium with protien skimmer. looking at a 5000gph quiet pump(actual flow will be lower).

I know that you need 10X min circulation(atleast they told me this)so in all likelihood I'll be installing some jets in the tank.(powerheads)

or is there a better method than ugj??

sorry ugj (undergravel jets) tho in this case ugsand

Under gravel jets?

The best way to do it IMO is to use eggcrate and build platforms for the LR at the back of the tank can sit on it, direct flow from a couple of powerheads into the LR.

thanks..that was what I was thinking.
