I noticed a spot about the size of a pencil eraser right next to his butt. he doesn't seem to act any different but I was wondering what it was.
(p.s. its a syno euruptus
What does the spot look like? Can you post a pic of said spot? What size tank is it in and what are it's tankmates? What are your water parameters? Are there any spots on the other fish?

not able to get a pic, but its round about 1/4 inch across and today i noticed a smaller spot behind his dorsal fin and a tiny spot on one of his eyes but he doesnt have popeye.ive been changing water every other day. he is with other catfish of the same size and water is good.
1 african butterfly
1 purple spot goby
1 dinosaur eel
5 catfish (tsn, indian sun, african silver, barred mystus, syno. euruptis)
