You could put a pair of convicts in there. I know alot of hobbyists may say it's not a good idea, but I raised convicts for about a decade, starting with a pair I got as a child, and had many pairs in 29g.

They definitely will be nice to watch...they are funny fish...you could also try a species tank of puffers. Figure 8's and Green Spotted are funny to watch together.

Yes, IMO convicts are. Like other cichlids, they have alot of personality, and act more like dogs at times than typical fish. Mine used to eat out my hand, and would charge the glass when anyone came in the fish room. Great fish, and very easy to breed.

IMO = In my opinion. GTs get larger than convicts do, and are probably not suitable for that tank. Something to consider. I also don't like them as much, but that's just my personal opinion.

How about 2 pair of Kribensis?

One pair of kribs would do better in that sized tank. You could have a couple of single females in with a pair in a 30" long tank...that would be OK, too.
However, they're shier fish and not what I'd call a wet pet.
How about a single firemouth? Maybe even a pair...

Breed a blood parrot and a convict and you get jellybeans. For the most part, they are a small, white version of a blood parrot.
Don't discriminate just because of the name. Jellybeans are dyed after they are bred. The name "jellybean" does not just refer to the fish being dyed. It is very popular in the fish trade to dye jellybeans and it is part of the reason that they got their name but its not the only reason. Most people associate the name with dying because of that.
If you can find a good breeder, or your lfs can be trusted in what they tell you about their fish, then you can find jellybeans that haven't been dyed. Buy those. Do not buy the ones that have been dyed.

As to your question, I would go with 1 festivum (but I really like them), up to 3 angelfish, 1 blood parrot, a pair of jellybeans, etc.
