Ok my 55g is going perfectly!!!! The cycle was quick and effective and my fish from my 10g loves the extra room. Well after being so concerned about the tank cycling correctly, i am now needing some advice about temperature of my tanks. I'm keeping my 10g and my 55g at a constant 82 degrees. Is that to high? Should i lower it? I'm just a tad worried about when adding new fish to my tank. I'm scared that they might not accumlate well since it's so high. Anyone's 2 cents is gladly welcome!!! :hang:

That's pretty high. It seems around here most people like 76-78. The higher temps are useful in treating ich.

I think that 82 degrees is too high for most fish unless we are talking about discus. That is another story. A better temp would be in the 76-78 degree range for your fish. However, do not lower the temp all at once. Take it down a degree or two over the course of the next several days. That way your current fish will not stress out from the temperature change.
Hope this helps.

it depends on the species of fish , really.
given you have:
1 Silver Dollar
3 Albino Tiger Barbs
5 Black Skirt Tetras
1 Blue Mystery Snail
78 should be good temp.
I don;t see any species that needs warmer warer (SA cichlids for instance should be kept at80-86 dependant on species)
