Like having a 7/8 inch Pacu and another large Cichlid (7/8 inch) in a 40 gallon wasn't enough, they've ADDED fish to it!! I seriously want to scream. I've called them, explained their problem and THEY WILL NOT LISTEN!!! This 40 gallon is a tall corner model too no less*ahhhhhh*

Went to school for PT conferences yesterday and about chit! The tank is so murkey that you can barely see the poor fish. On closer inspection I see they added another 10 inch cichlid (who was at the top gasping for air!!) AND a 12 inch common pleco!!! I want to slap someone!!

I kept my calm, you all would have been proud of me. I am done talking to them as they are STUPID people apparently! I'm going to call the main office and complain to them. Our school Superintendent is really great so maybe he'll be able to do something. And if he won't help, then I'll see if my local humane society will. I'm done with playing nice!

Serioulsly, even my 2nd grader thinks its awful and has tried to get help for those fish. (Gotta love her) I still can't believe they added more after I explained that the tank was unsuitable for even 1 of them. More than a bit pissed that these are the people teaching my kids!!!

keep coplaining!call PETA:joke:!they will go nuts, hehe, let PETA deal with them also....keep at them!how can people be SO stupid??give them hell from all of us!

I was joking.dont worry:joke:but PETA would make such a racket,it would probably be on the news,"PETA members murder teachers because of cruel treatment to fish".

I would definatly keep going about it as you are. Take it to the top. Write a letter explaining that the teacher/school is teaching kids it's ok to abuse animals. Perhaps you could find a way to contact other kid's parrents and see if any of them will help. Mabey even have your kid spout off some things she learns from you to her classmates ;)

Unless you have video of a dog tied to the bumper of a moving car, want to report a puppy mill, or report 75 cats in a 400ft² house, ASPCA isn't going to do much.

Keep bothering the school office & irresponsible teacher.

keep at it! save those fish! you can do it! you have my full support!

Local media is usually fond of school system screw-ups...

A letter to the editor of a newspaper, call/write the local TV people... Use a catchy title, like the one you said earlier to get their attention.:

"Schools Teaching Animal Cruelty" or "Abuse"

School board meetings and the PTA are other venues that might work.
