I wouldn't assum that they were dead until you hadn't seen them for a few days. I assume from your post that they were out and happy after you got them and I'll assume that you acclimated them properly to the tank. If I'm incorrect in any of my assumptions let us know .

Nope, their probably just pouty from the move it they don't look melted. I'd just give them some time and see if they come back out. I'd imagine that they would they are pretty hardy little critters. Sorry, I didn't ask you all the question the first time it slipped my mind!
good luck and keep us posted.

Ive read an article a while ago that like fish, coral do take some time to adjust to a new tank. Like your new fish act weird for a couple of days, coral do the same. I had bought a rock with a buch of mushrooms on it, and when I bought it they were really nice and big. Brought them home and they would not oppen up at all. Then after about a week they opened up like they did before I bought them. I just takes some time to get used to the tank thats all.

they do take time to come out. The best thing is to leave them alone. If you move them thinking they are in the wrong place you will set them back a few days. A sign that they are going to start coming out is that you will see each head go lighter in colour and look a little swollen. once one comes out they will all start and you will have a big smile. A week is not unusual to have to wait. Hope this helps :)
