I have two convicts which I thought were both female because they both have very distinct orange bellies. Recently they reached 3-4 inches and one is slightly smaller than the other. I am having second thoughts because they are becoming more agressive. Not only that but I have noticed their dorsal fins are getting longer and getting filaments on them. both of them have dorsal fins that extend past their tail fins. What do you think? I cant get a good enough picture of the finage but it definately extends past the tail fin and growing. They are also showing a lot of blueish coloring throughout the face and fins very faint. Could I have males?

There is also some blue in the anal fin on both of them this is the bigger one the other one is a little smaller and the dorsal fin is not quite as long. Male or Female?

I'd wager those are female. I have never seen a male convict with that much orange on his belly. Plus the anal fins aren't as long and flowing as I've seen on most males. Hope that helps!

I was sure they were females but like I said I was having doubts because of the long dorsal and anal fins. Thanks for replying.
