do you think these two great fish have a chance of getting along?

How many piranha's? If they get hungry they will go after the bichar. As far as I have always heard piranha do best in a species tank.

Well, by white I assume you mean black (or rhom for techinical purposes) and those should be solitary. I don't suggest any other tankmates with a black. I believe they only thing that will happen would be an immediate fight resulting in losing the birchir and/or the piranha. BTW, how big of a tank are you talking about?
