I've got two corydoras that I've just always had, bought them not long after starting the hobby bout two years ago, and well theyve survived through the thick and thin of EVERYTHING. i know that corys can be tough little buggers, but i never expected them to live this long....theyre blind from attacks in a previous tank with previous fish from last year, (and i thought they would die when transfrd, craziness) now ther in my twenty gallon with a few small cichlids and amazingly they seem happy. well, one of them has been sssllloowwwly getting a bloated belly...like over the last couple years it just keeps getting bigger and bigger, it looks like she(im guessing, its the bigger one) is gonna pop! when laying on bottom of tank, her stomach prevents her from laying completly flat, she kinda rocks on this belly of hers.she still eats fine, swims fine, etc etc and the water should be good (ran out of test strips=P), just cleaned the tank last week, does anyone know wat this might be??

maybe she's just fat. . . . when they are very well fed (a.k.a. straight-out spoiled) they can easily get barrel-shaped.

If there are no other physical symptoms, and this was a gradual development, it sounds like she's just a bit pudgy or full of eggs. I find the females do tend to be rounder that the males.

And most cories, if properly cared for, can be expected to live a life of 8-10+ years.

just watch her closely,if she starrts showing singhs of sickness or gets too bloated to move then you should worry,BTW,I love your username ;)
