I'm curious as to how aggressive a single female salvini is likely to be (obviously individuals vary). I've heard mixed ideas about them in reading over the last year, and I figure it can't hurt to aks. I'd like to add a small one to my 75g tank and let it grow out, but I don't want to introduce something with homicidal tendencies. The most potentially aggressive fish I have in the tank now is a 4.5-5" gt, which is currently not aggressive at all. Opinions from people who have actually kept them would be helpful.

An individual will be fine with your GT, I just wouldn't get a pair of Salvini's, except if the tank was either large enough (=>6ft), or a species one (4ft).

I have a male salvini who is fine with his other tank mates. Just be sure to give it lots of caves and rock work to hide out in so that if feels secure and has a bit of territory to protect and it should be fine. But as you stated individuals can vary so when you get it you may want to see if the LFS will take it back if it turns homicidle.
