yes the pleco will eat the eggs...or try very hard to....id suggest removing it. also if you see breeding tubes i would think that you arent far away from having eggs. good luck with breeding.

it will be no problem to throw it back to the river, its because i catched him at the river, so it wouldnt be a problem to take him back.
it is normal that the male chase the females ( the three of them) but he just chase them to bother them, cause he dont make any harm to them, they are like new, but they are getting very fat

i would think that chasing them without hurting them has something to do with the mating ritual....maybe they arent completely ready and he chases them from his teritory until they are "ripe" and will let them in and fertilize some eggs when they are ready....not sure though....keep me posted on how it goes. take it easy and good luck with it all.

also.....i had heard from a supplier of mine that he knows someone who has a pair that are both white saums and they produce all gold saum babies....not sure on the origins of that pair since i havent talked to the breeder personally. yours being wild collected might be different i dont know....would be very interested to find out though. when they do have babies and you can tell what ya got let us know. take care
