How long should each discus feed session last

Just wondering how long each feed session should last for,when feeding discus.
In my tropical freshwater Community thank i feed with flake and as stated on the tub it says.."feed, sufficient to last aprox 2 minutes per feed"

is 2 minutes the rule of thumb with discus.

i will be feeding my discus 3 times a day.

what else is in the tank with the discus? one problem with discus tankmates is their faster eating habits. what are you feeding the discus? i feed mine sinking new life spectrum in a bowl at the bottom of the tank. they naturally eat off the substrate and learn very quickly that the undergravel filter tube in the bowl means food and they all come rushing over. i feed more on quantity. i just picture the food im dropping in filling up their stomachs and estimate how much they need. it usually takes mine about 5 minutes to eat. remember that there are many guidelines but very very few rules in fishkeeping, and feeding isnt one of them.
