I have eggs stuck to both sides of the front of my aquarium... in the area near where my power heads put out their flow. I have no idea who put the eggs there as the assumed breeders in my tank - Pair of Kribs, pair of Apisto Cacatuoides have caves that I would assume they'd use. Anyone know what type of fish lays eggs in this manner?? Here's my tanklist for a 55 gal:

3 - Bosemani Rainbows; 2 - Trifasciata Rainbows, 1 Yellow Rainbow, 1 Turqouise Rainbow, 2 Clown Loaches, 1 Female & 3 male Kribs, 2 German Blue Rams, 1 male & 1 female Cacatuoides, 1 bronze cory cat, 1 speckled cory cat, 1 golden wonder killiefish.

Any help on who might have put the eggs there would be great. Should I leave them there or move them into a holding pen??? Thanks!

The only thing I can think of that does this are danios. Maybe searching for a fish in the same genus as zebra danios could help.

danios are egg scatterers and scatter along the gravel. I would say it was the cories because this is typical of them but then I don't know the breeding behaviors of the other fish in your tank.

The most similar to a Danio would probably be a Rainbowfish although completely different families and Rainbows are said to be egg scatterers. Would cory cats from different species mate? Would an Apisto. Cacatuiodes put its eggs on the glass??

It might be possible (eg: Guppies with Mollies :S which is currently happening to my male molly with all the female guppies) since they are the same Genus (Bronze Cory => Corydoras aeneus, Speckled/Peppered Cory => Corydoras paleatus)...

But I'm not sure about the above statement though.

Apistogramma cacatuoides are cave spawners.

the female cory cats actually lay the eggs AND fertilize them (confusing but true. and if i explained it, it would be gross. just trust me). she might show interest in the male cory but if he doesn't put out she might still lay the eggs. they go for high-current areas in the tank so that the eggs get maximum oxygen during development. on the glass, filters, plants, decor, etc. usually about this big in diameter -- and pale yellow.
