Hey guys me again :thm:
I am falling for the loaches...
I have a burmese loach( it has thick black stripes on a tanish body) and he seems to begetting a bit nippy... was very playful before, esp with my zebra loach...
1 zebra loach :duh: who has the best personality...
and 2 kulli loaches... altho I'm not sure about that anymore... at the pet store they said they were black kulli loaches but I can't seem to find those anywhere on the web :pc: They are shy and hide all the time. i would love to see them more. when I asked at the fish store they also said that they would interact with my other loaches which they don't do.
i guess my questions are :
If I got anouther burmese loach or two would my one settle...
If I got more (2) kulli loaches would they come out more...
Will loaches of diff "type" group together...
Thanks again! :D

29 gal tank
2 cherry barbs
2 dwarf G
and the fish mentioned above:)

you don't have room for any more loaches, or anything else on the bottom. it might be best if you gave your zebra and burmese back to the LFS, as they are probably sad alone, and get another khulii.

I am not worried that they don't have enough room... they use all of the tank, they are busy fishies...
i am not worried that they are lonly- they have interacted together since day one and even play tag... :D
My question was would my kulli's come out if I had a few more... they seem to swim up and down in corners mostly
and would my burmese loach be less "picky" with one more of its kind. he seems to just chase the gouromies but hasn't ever hurt them or nipped- maybe he doesn't understand they don't like it like the zebra loach:)

They have always played and intereacted together... it is my kulli's that I worry about being lonely but they are huddles in a cave together.
khulii's are natuarlly shy, reserved fish. hiding like that is perfectly normal. if they all seem fine, don't worry about it. you have just the right number of loaches as it is right now.

I disagree. You have to many kinds and too few of each type. Return all but one kind and keep them in a larger group.

Would they come out more then? I just fed them brine shrimp pellets and boy were they out:) Thanks for you help.
One more ? :) That would be all for bottom fish right?

like he said, i'd give back the zebra and the burmese, and get another khulii loach. I think he overreacts a little bit to not keeping them in schools, though he knows his stuff.....
