View Full Version : My Cichlid Tank

Here is a picture of my 55 gallon tank. I have just recently added a few nice pieces of driftwood. The next step is to get rid of the background -probably going to paint it a low gloss black. The only time the background is visible is when I take a picture of it, and I think it shows up way too bright. Let me know what ya'll think of my tank.

with the cichlids I would do a black background especially with the light color substrate it will bring the natural colors out in the decor and the fish in my opinion. The tank looks good and plentiful.

nice tank man! very colourful. Also a black background is very good for photography of the fish due to the contrast like aka said if your intrested in taking photos of your fish.
