female jag with male jack? yay or nay?

my LFS has a female jag with one eye.
i want this thing badly.


but i am having serious doubts as to weather it would get along with my jack.

im leaning towards no. they are both agressive as hell.

but has anyone done this?

A few questions: How large is your tank? How is it decorated? Are there other inhabitants? How big is the jack? The jag?

tank isnt set up yet (next weekend stand will be ready) when it is decorated, i plan on a center planted area (held down by rocks from my digging jack) and lots and lots of hiding spots.

the jack is 7 ish inches, the jag maybe 1 inch more than that.

the tank itself is 135 (no one else will live there), which upon first thought, isnt large enough for a jag, but i fear, judging by the hunch of the spine, its already been stunted, and its being kept in a 30 or 40 gallon tank for a while now i really figure that 135 is better than where it is now. plus i sort of feel like it may have a shortened life span due to that, and the one eye thing....

but then again, maybe not....

its really the agression im worried about, the jag has a tankemate now that is far less in size that her and she was chasing it around a bit. and i know that my jack is a little brat, he trys to bump in to my hand a lot when im cleaning, and he has eaten a tankmate before.....

i have a jag with my dempsey and oscars,,the jag is about 7 inches, the jack is about 10, same for the oscars, they get along fine..actually the jag never leaves the dempseys side...lol
