Ok well my Petco used to have an awesome selection and quality of fish up untill about 8 months ago. I asumed things went down hill because there fish expert had left and they just had fill ins working in the department till they hired someone new to take over. Well they finally hired a new guy who seems to have somewhat of clue as to what hes doing but the tanks still look horid. I was there last night and I finally asked one of the managers who I know who the heck supplies them there fish because they are awefull lately. They had just received there new shipment at 10:00 am and half of the fish where dead. You should have seen the tub full of them it was disgusting. He told me it was seagrees farms from cali who I thought was a very reputilble commercial supplier. I assume that all petcos must use them. So my question is has any one else noticed that the fish at petco or the fish the recived from seagress where half dead? What a shame that a supplier would ship such awefull stock. On a side note I drove to our local petsmart which is quite a haul today and the fish looked wonderfull. I hope its not just my local petco that doing a horrible job with fish husbandry. If it is I will be tempted to write a letter of complaint.
