are you still in school, or otherwise without much professional experience? If so, you might want to add a section with your personal skill, traits or interests that might be pertinent. Also any awards won in school or in community service definitely.
Also a leading line stating your objective (e.g. "To find a position that...") with something about how it would meet your expectations in a revealing way. For example, "I wish to find a position that will challenge me and take advantage of my ability to work with people" or something like that.
The cover letter is where you actually state the position you are applying for, and how you heard about the job would be nice (for their tracking purposes). On the letter, you should also summarize in paragraph form the highlights of your resume.
