 I was given two 120 galon fish tanks, complete set up for both salt walter and fresh water. I have both set with fresh water right now. I have no clue what to do or how to take care of the 15 fish I bought, well use to be 15 its now about 50 ormore and a ton of babies still hidding in the plants. I just thought they were fat fish cause the eat alot, but I was wrong. I would like to know what fish i could get that will be ok with the ones I have, I can tell you what fish or NOT!!! Those **** chinese fish. I have heard that you can only have so many fish per gal, so Im not even sure if I can have more fish than I already have. I do notice that the big fish keep pushing the rocks away from the bottom of the tank, does this mean they dont have enough room to swim? Or are they trying to find the babies that are lost? Most babies are up on the top in the plants that float. Im not even sure if those plants belong on the top or if i should have them down on the bottom. ANY HELP is greatly appreciated. I want to learn everything I can so Im able to provide a happy home for my fish, and since this is my first time having fish I need lots of help on what to do. Thanks for the help. Mommy and mollys appreciate it!!!!!!

do you know what kind of fish you have?
what are they and how many of each?
do you have them all in one tank or spread out in both of them?
how long have you had the fish?

almost no fish care for their babies, if they're looking for them, they're looking for a free meal. don't worry about keeping the babies (fry) alive, your mollies will have lots more in the future. right now concentrate on figuring out how to care for the tank - the basic stuff.

fish per gallon is a myth, it depends on your filtration, tank size, surface area, and whether the fish are peaceful/aggessive; top, middle, or bottom dwellers; tropical or temperate, etc. all of those things factor into the number of fish you can have.
