Good/uncommon attributes:
Decent selection of tanks, light fixtures, bulbs
Fish looked healthy
They had several glowfish (transgenic zebra danios) for sale
accessories I've never seen at a Wal-Mart before (Pythons)
They actually stocked parts, media etc. for all of their filters & kits

Bad, but probably not their fault:
were selling fish that should have been culled (scoliosis, stuff like that)

Location: Springfield, IL
1st Wal-Mart I've ever seen where the fish section appears to be run by someone who "gets it".

OMG! I'm glad you have found a decent one... but IMO Wal-Marts generally suck at fish care because whoever they have that does a decent job will get sick of all the BS and leave and then the tanks go downhill FAST. I've seen it countless times. Get the stuff while its good and make sure to quarantine it.

anyway, with the culling thing... not many large chain places cull their fish, because rember they are just in it to sell the fish and make money
