Well I went to PetSmart to pick up a water test kit, and well, I saw these cool Marina LED Lites that can be used internally or externally. So I just had to buy them. Here are two pics: one with main lite on and one with main lite off.
well at least it's not pink gravel and rainbow castle i think it looks ok.
there was a really nice setup done using a sunken submarine decor (on a ledge) and those leds to give the effect that the submarine was stuck deep in water and there are still life on board.
Thanks for your comments. The lites are really good for viewing your nocturnals - you generally turn them off during the day. I had a wonderful time watching my ghost knife last nite. I could actually see him. And yeah, I love the nighttime lites. It's a hub that you can plug 4 lights into (white, green, blue, red) - of course, each color accentuates different things in your tank - like spotting the green on your plants for example. I have a small 3g where the light bulb is actually melting the hood, so the white light on this tank during the day is a wonderful solution as well. :dive2:
It would be nice if you went with all yellow, or blue, or even green. Single colors look nice but all that looks like your fish are off to the clubs at night. haha.
