I found a 60 litre plastic storage container in my shed. Would I be able to make a small pond out of that for my 2 fantail goldfish? What do I need for a pond as well would help alot? Thanks.

you could make it into a pond, but you wouldn't be able to put goldfish in it. you could try mosquito fish, though.

i just need to get them out of the tank they are in since its only a 5 gallon. so how long will i be able to keep them in that container?

a very short while. you should invest in a 55 gallon tank.

ok so should i put them in the 15 gallon one for now until i can get a bigger one?

yes, you can use a normal HOB filter.

that container needs to be cycled before the fish are put in there. You can speed this up if you use the media from your 5 gallon. I wouldn't even give it a couple months for the size..... I think you should be looking to invest in a 40+ gallon tank sooner rather than later. The problem comes from not only the bioload these fish expel into the water but hormones as well. Water changes will need to be daily.
