Sand Question

I was at my local pet store, and the guy was telling me about this new type of sand that was just introduced. This sand was suppose to be already cycled and the only thing you had to do was add water. The downfall to this is that it is around $30 for a 20lb bag, which I will have to get quite a few bags for my future 100 gal tank. Another questions, I was reading on the other post and someone mention something about purchasing sand at Home Depot, do they have good sand at places like that?

Most likely what the LFS was referring to is the bagged live sand that is for sale. While I guess you could use it exclusively, this would be very costly. Instead, most of us buy regular play sand (ie, Home Depot) in a very fine grain, and then seed it with either live sand, or live rock. Either method is effective.
