No flaming please. I'm not looking to start a debate, but to find out the truth about something.

An lfs' son told him that:

He did some research online about flowerhorns. He found out that if you find a flowerhorn with a red line, or red in its color, then it's valuable. Worth up to $200.

Now the lfs, for some stupid reason, doesn't research it himself, but is instead, telling his customers as if it is fact.

Has anyone heard anything about this?

Thanks for your help.

Actually, I just went myself to do some work. I found some sites that desribe them. I had no idea what they would look like as adults. And from what I have read, they can be very expensive, even into the thousands.

Personally, I think it's ugly. But, that's just MHO.

I've only seen babies. Now I know what they will look like grown up.

With FH they vary in color Ive seen dull almost solid brown ones ones covered with green and red seen some with blue. THere is like no limit to color varities. The adults cost more the red ones with blue and green are signs or wealth, health and luck so they cost more then others.
