So my favorite fish (georgie) a Dwarf gourami, seems to have fallen terribly ill quite rapidly. He was his normal perky self until Tuesday when I noticed he was hiding a lot and getting really fat in his face and belly. He was probably stressed by the Angels I added on Monday from the QT tank. On Wednesday I noticed he was markedly bloated, and was having to chase away the angels. So I transfered him to a 20g with a single ram. I figured this would allow me to observe him better, and keep him from the other fish stressing him.
Now he is worse. I think the stress of moving to another tank has made all the symptoms ten times worse. He is bloated, is not moving much, is trying to hide or drifting with his feeler fins out to balance. There may be some scales sticking out, but it is hard to tell. His face has darkened in color, but all the rest of his fins are still bright. He isn't eating now--I think he's still stressed.
I started a Marcyn-2 treatment, because I'm terrified it is dropsy. I really don't want to lose this fish, what else can I do to save him?
