Fish looseing/changing color?

I asked this on chiclid threads but got no reply so here it goes,,,, I have a Jack Dempsy that has changed color the top 1/ 3rd of its body from nose to tail is a tan/flesh tone with black tiger stripes through out any IDEAS?????
It has been under a little stress since it is the low fish on the totum pole so to speak, due to a Red Devil has equaled its size.

That would definitely be a stress-related coloration. I would recommend moving him to a different tank because JDs are rather wimpy, especially when compared to RDs.
