I need help badly..

I came home to find a Goldfish in my yard. My wife said it had been their for more than an hour and a half. I quickly grabbed a bucket, filled it with water, and popped the Goldfish in. I feared it was dead so i left it there. I came back and it was swimming around.

What should I do now?
 
1.how big is it?
2.what type is it?
3.how much money are you willing to put into this?
4, have you ever kept fish before?
and 5.keep us updated.
 
hmm...well..
no not really..
my father said he would take it in..but that will be in two weeks..
i need to know what to do to keep it alive til then
 
what size tank is your father going to put it in?
what kind if goldfish is it?do you know?
 
do you have any spare plastic tubs? what does the goldfish look like?
