Where do you get it from? I've looked hi and lo in the grocery store and haven't found any.

check at the butcher counter. you'll have to trim the fat..
I don't use beefheart..a lot folks do.

I don't have a beefheart recipe, but I follow the people out of walmart who are holding a bag full of koi and a ten gallon tank....they make great fish food

i used to use beef heart.. straight beef heart, no recie, no mixes, no additives.
works great for me. Infact the str8 beefheart is cleaner, less reside to mess up the tank, less chances of fouling up the water. My discus and sggels never left any around, infact the some of the discus use to eat right out of my hand.
I have also use pig heart and beer liver ..... the beef liver fouls up the water quickly.... pig heart just too damm small, to hard to properly 'clean up'
I usually get my beef heart srt8 from a butcher, the first time cleaning up all the fat and the veins, menbrane and stuff was intimidating. but with a sharp kinfe its easy and u'll get use to it quickly..... I cut it into small cube around the size of the o to 0.......
u could always grate/shred it .
ur fishes will love u for it
