Will drip acclimation do its job or are longer measures necessary to insure a healthy transfer?

The drip acclimation will do the job. However, I'll have you know that it's really osmotic shock, not PH shock...

I drip all of my fish. Some just slower than others.

what is an appropriate rate for about 1.2 points above?
(darn driftwood brought my city water to 6.2!!!)
