Just as an update: the 32 frys left are starting to attack each other and have started to claim their little territories (even the larger female/babysitter is chasing them out of their territories, which she hasn't done before yesterday)... I was wondering if I should upgrade them to a 29G (but I wouldn't want to spend money if I don't have to)...

As for the Parameters:
Temperature: 78F, pH: 8.0, Nitrates: 50 ppm, Nitrites: 0.2 ppm, Ammonia: 0, GH: 125 ppm (7.0 dH), kH : 100 ppm (5.7 dH)...

They are currently housed in a 20G high and they are reaching about 1.25" right now...

Also looking into the future, I was thinking abou the next batch of frys as they are nearing about 70+ frys, would a 20G high be enough for them to reach a size of 1.5"?

Thank you very much in advance

30gallon Long tanks are excellent for your choice. The 20g high is too short. These fish care about available space at the bottom of the tank more than the height. Longer, deeper, shallow tanks are better suited for these fish. You should provide more shelters like PVC pipe elbows in the tank to diffuse aggression.

That's probably why they started to become more aggressive when I removed the floating Elodea. I will consider a 30G or adding more cover (it's currently quite bare).

Thank you very much, Mr. Firemouth
