I got some new fish for my 55 gallon the other day:

8 Neon Tetras
8 Glowlight Tetras
6 Painted Glass Fish
(adding some more later)

I was rather disgusted to learn after reading more about them that these fish are injected with paint to give them their colors. I've thought about taking them back for something else, but my LFS is very unwilling to have fish returned to him, so I'm likely stuck with them.

I understand that the glass fish will likely not live as long as normal because of the paint, but my concern is can this harm the other fish in my tank as well?

I had one that lived for 9 months, but the others I've had didn't make it more than a month. It won't hurt your other fish and it takes several months for the dye to go away. They should've told you at the LFS that they were injected.

Generally if they have healthy immune systems they should live just about their full lives. Unless you get them into brackish water though it's still going to be short.
