okay, so i just read this thread on feeding plecs zucchini, so i ran over to my fridge and decided to give my plec some since im out of algae wafers. well i dropped in the zucchini and apparently it floats... how the heck do i get it to sink!?

whats a veggie clip? Will the zucchini eventually just sink?

no zucchini floats most have a special veggi screw they put in to weigh it down.

I get stick a small fork in the zucchini and throw it in. Basically any weight (somewhat heavier than water) you can fasten to the zucchini will make it sink.

even try a skewer, push the skewer into the zukini, and then push the skewer into the substrate. you can even adjus the hight of the zukini using a small elastick band tied to the skewer as a stopper, and put different foods on there for different fish (cucumber, lettuce, chunks of fresh fish) and have the food set up to the level the fish swims, then its just a mater of pulling out the skewer, no need to stick half your arm into the aquarium making it over flow.
