I've come home the last 2 days to find that 2 of my five-banded barbs have been dead and dried out on top of the condensation cover of the tank. presumably they jumped there and were unable to get back into the water.

Are they naturally a jumping fish?
The only space they can jump out is where the cover is cut diagonally to allow in the airline etc, and this is pretty small. Also in the tank are 2 kribs, 2 thick-lip gouramis and 5 black phantoms. I have had the barbs for about 4 months, and this hasn't happened. Also, the only aggression I have observed in the tank is within the black phantoms and occassionally the kribs towards the gouramis. Sometimes the tetras will chase the barbs out of the way, but not extensively. Is it just a case of these 2 barbs being in the wrong place at the wrong time?

Thanks for any help,
