I'm looking for some tall growing aquatic plants for the back og my aquarium. any suggestions? my 33 gallon tank is tall, so the taller the better.

ancharis, hornwort, moneywort, stargrass, vallinsernias, giant saggitarias, amazon swords, anubias barteri (the BIG kind).... the list goes on and on... did you have anything specific in mind?

Nothing really specific, just good for looks and for the fish, and not to difficult to find.

ancharis is dirt cheap and extremely common. what's your WPG rating?

It's actually pretty high I need more medium to high light plants 4 or 5 WPG

I don't think you'd be disappointed with swords, vals, or giant hygros.

Water Sprite is a nice looking plant and will grow quite fast whether planted or floating.

Take Care!

Thanks guys

There are a lot of good stem plants that might work well--Bacopa gets really tall and makes a nice background, I have a very tall and lush brazillan pennywort in my tank, some really nice giant hygro, and an enormous aponogen bolivius.

Hi

hi if you have 4 or 5 watts per gallon the are going to have an algae fram if you don't have Co2, ferts, and plenty stems plants to eat the ferst you have to put in for that amount of light. YOU WILL HAVE TO KEEP THE TANK BLANCED WHEN IT COME TO CO2, FERTS, AND LIGHTS and if you don't or allow this blance to tip in any way you will get a nasty algae bloom. It will be the algae bloom from he**.

My advice is go to these two sights and do your home work so you know what you are getting into with that amount of light. Oh and if i am making it sound hard it's really not.
