The pond with some Triops
Ok... i fed my snail only zucchini so far.

sooo...

is there a certain list of veggies i can feed the snails and can put in the tank?

oh, can snails eat eggplants and cucumbers?
I have to blanch them both, right?

i would not feed eggplant, it is mildly toxic when raw. any other leftover veggies are good, flake food, pellets, wafers. . . anything. they're scavengers.

We're talking about the little pond snail you list in your .sig? You pretty much don't have to bother feeding them.

If you're talking about a cana apple snail, they'll eat most any veggies, prefering green ones, especially turnip greens. If you have a bridgesii apple snail, they can't eat veggies that are still crunchy, so you have to cook or freeze them first, but basically the same list as the canas.

why not feed them?

he ate some zucchini... i put in 2 algae disks but he won't eat them...

don't worry about feeding pond snails. it will find plenty of food on it's own.

hmm... how good are they in algae control? I mean, ever since I got that snail, I didn't see ANY green in my tank (except for my plants... but something seems to dig it up).

how strong are their radulas? It seems to love the driftwood but i found a part of the driftwood that looks like it got chipped off badly with a mini chisel lol.
