i just got a 29 gallon tank from a friend who is moving out of state. the tank has what looks to be a comon brown bullhead. there is also some sort of bullhead which is black with white/silver spots. can't leave out the pleco hiding behind the filter inlet. anyway the brown is almost 8 inches and u can just imagine how he lurkes around the tank. is he to big for the 29 gallon? i tried giving it to a nother friend who has a big goldfish pond but she wouldn't take it. i generally keep newts which have differant requirements than fish so any information would be helpful.

ok so now what do i do with them? i wouldn't mind setting the tank up for newts. and maybe turning the ten gallon that the newts are in now, into a community tank or something. i didn't really want the fish, they just unfortunately came with the tank.

well you need a pond,or try to find them a good home with a pond,do you know the amonia/nitrate/nitrite readings in the tank?

try and find a pet store that will take them or find someone you know other than the girl that wont take them that has a pond. Do not dump them in a public pond or water system.

un fortuanately i have no water testing supplies right now. i have been changing some of the water weekly. the guy at the pet shop said he would take te two smaller ones but not the brown. i know i can't relese it into the wild due to law and other problems too long to type, but could a farm pond make a good home?

 Why not have a fish fry cookout? ....................Im sorry I take that back :bowing:
