i'm sick of telling people to blanch veggies for me so i tried. harder than i thought lol, since i don't know ANYTHING about cooking/boiling water.
I put a pan of shallow water (which it came from my water box or something... so I don't know if it has chlorine/chloramine in it or not)...
then when bubbles started to show, i put in the cucumber.
after 55 seconds, i turned off the heat and took out with chopsticks (and i still don't know if the chopsticks were just cleansed so it might even have some soap on it)...
soo:
1)will boiling water get rid of chlorine/chloramine?
2)is what i did right?
3)will the cucumber be safe for snails/plecos to eat? with the chopsticks and all...
4)If #1 is a no, will the cucumber absorb the chlorine/chloramine?
please answer asap! My cucumber's drying up and it's out of the pan, still!
