Gravel to use in an oak trimmed tank?

I went with a Oak 72g bowfront tank. I am wondering however, what substrates or gravel will compliment the oak tank and stand.

I've already ordered aqua soil(malaya) and I wanted to maybe have someting on top of that. Sand would be ideal if it was not going to be a top layer. So I'm thinking a larger gravel would be ideal. What color have you all used with your oak tanks?

I have a 125 gallon All Glass aquarium with an oak cabinet. I used the standard mixed brown ("natural") gravel. Here is an old picture bedore I put on my background, etc.

I'd say worry about what's going to contrast the contents of the tank rather than the stand. If you're worried about the stand, perhaps you should have a china cabinet?

malaya is pretty brown, i think itll do fine.
