My kribs laid eggs! Found them on Saturday. However, today when I looked, I could see no eggs. What gives?

they got the sudden urge to eat them.
there are a few ways to solve that... separate one or the other after spawning, or remove the eggs.
usually because of water perameters or else they are a young pair

It depends how long before the eggs were noticed from the day that they were actually laid. They could have hatched and been moved to another place by the parents. But, if this is the first spawn, it might have been eaten because they are still getting a hang of it (as they are still a young pair, if they are a young pair).

the female still hangs around and inside the flowerpot where the eggs were. the male just swims around the front of the tank. the water is quite hard (15dH I think) and has a pH of about 8. they have spawned once before, several months ago. the same thing happened.
Thanks for the help,

kribs come from a river in west africa, so they dont do as well as say a rift lake cichlid would in that hard water. try adding 1/3 distilled or R/O water to the mix to lower the hardness. they like it around 5-10 Gh/Kh and 7.0 ph. that should be a good start to getting better results.

Maybe you have wrigglers in the cave :) IME, I couldn't see if there were eggs in the cave as the entrance was low and the cave extends about 4" above the glass at the bottom of the tank. Last spawn, I only saw some of the free swimming frys swimming down the sides from the higher portion of the cave onto the glass which the female has dug out the gravel covering the bottom of the aquarium to cover up the entrance... Then from that moment, I guess she figured out that she could let them out.
I hope they didn't get eaten.
