Hey i was wondering which brand is better?? I was looking tru the catalog and those 2 brands are on sale..Can someone give me information about these canister and which canister would u recommend for me to buy

I just went through the same process. I went with the Filstar. There was a post a week or two ago and I guy there had 4 Fluvals and an XP. He said he liked the XP better. I think the Filstars are a more straight forward disign. Each chamber can hold a ton of stuff and have partitions. It probably comes down to what you like the design of better. I'm thinking of a Fluval for my other tank because I think both brands are very cool.
P.S. The XP3 is huge. The 404 probably is too, but I was suprised.

The Fluval is about an inch taller than the Filstar. Both are about the same diameter. I found the Filstar filters better... Both are very quiet. The Filstar has many options on setting up the return and intake tubes. :)
