The pond with some Triops
Today, right now, I'm planning to move my betta to my main tank. Last time asking this, (though maybe like, 15th time :D) are bettas and the stuff in my sig compatible. the baby snail is just about 1 cm long.

now for the big confession *sigh*

I really haven't been waterchanging the 1 gallon where my betta lives. that's why I'm hesitating to put my betta in my main tank-Old Tank Syndrome. what is it, will i get it, and what happens? I plan to move him because it's easier on me to waterchange the whole fish tank every week rather than every day.

btw, last, last time i changed was around maybe more than 1 1/2 months. and i say maybe MORE. but last time i waterchanged was i think 2~4 days ago.

*EDIT* Can bettas EAT anything in my sig? would my current be too strong? The 1 gal isn't filterized and has no current and had no current for over 1~2 years...
 
I would get rid of two species of tetra and bump up one species,then you should get rid of the pleco(if its a common),then you should be fine adding your betta.just watch for a temper or if he gets nipped.;)
 
i can't really get rid of them YET... as with my pleco too.

can i still add him? what about the snails? and he won't eat tetras?
 
Hi,

Your betta won't eat the the Tetras, but he may be a little agressive to them.

I don't thnik he will eat the snail, but it really depends if you have a peaceful betta or a mean one.

When I got my 10 gallon I put my male betta in it with 3 neon tetras. He did okay over the weekend, but on Monday I had run to Walmart and came home and found 1 dead..the betta had bit his head off and another with half it's head missing but still alive. I wouldn't put a betta anywhere near other fish, specially tetras!

This is why betta is back in a 1 gallon all by his lonesome and I added more community fish so I wouldn't have any more deaths on my head. I cried when I saw what he did to the neon's!

Yep, he's EVIL! I'm surprised the neon that was severely injured survived, but he did. I kept putting Melafix in the tank and he's healed well. He's now only missing a eye and hides alot but otherwise great.

uh... yeah. my my veiltail lost 1/2 of it's back fin! but i dun think it's fin rot. can fin rot chow down 1/2 the fin in just 1 day?!
