This is the 1st time I have purchased frozen. question: Do I need to defrost it before putting it in the tank? The directions say NOTHING !!!!
It is bloodworms,if that makes a difference.

Also what are the pros and cons (if any)
Someone on another site stated you could pick up parasites ?
Anyone have any problems?

Defrost it in some tank water before you put it in the tank.

I take a small amount of tank water and place the frozen cube in it until it breaks apart. Then just pour it into your tank.

I've read that some fish, plecos in particular, can have digestive problems (usually constipation) from blood worms fed too often. I use them as treats once or twice per week.
