I have a dream...

They are beautiful when they school togather and thier colors really come out. Having them in a planted tank is especially nice since they look totally awsome swimming through the live plants. They are omnivores so make sure that you give them a varied diet that includes vegtables too.

Good luck with the set up. It will be amazingly beautiful.

I had a 29 gal with 5 congos 20 years ago. By the time I had to sell it for a move, they were three years old, big and gorgeous. The fins kept getting longer, and as they school they twitch them, almost as if to draw attention to them. The colors were brilliant. They were very peaceful. I kept them with het raspboras, zebra danios and a pair of lace gouramis.

Fast forward 20 years. I still miss those congos. So last week I began cycling a 75 gallon tank, which I intend to stock with a dozen congos, some pearl gouramis and something I never saw back then, yo yo loaches.

Get the congos, you won't be sorry.
