what do you guys think about this? isn't it just crazy the way that people behave when something is the new rave (particularly next generation video game consoles)?

utter madness.

It's worse than madness, it's barbaric!! Somebody was actually shot in a walmart parking lot! I don't see why they just dont release enough of them in the beginning to keep this from happening. And how stupid are the people paying 2-6 thousand for one. Those people have too much **** money if ya ask me.

agreed. some persons face got smashed into a pole while rushing to get to the mall doors once they opened up for business. apparently, someone pushed him from behind and he suffered several injuries. it was truly a chaotic scene.

i'd rather wait a few months.

There is a select 'slice of society' that is completely bored with their lives.

You can't just label next gen video games in the need to have group. Does anyone remember the cabbage patch kid? When that was first released it was crazier than a system launch. People were fighting, kicking, biting, you name it to get that ugly doll.

Well the person being shot was not over the system. It was a couple of people knowing that people are huddled in mass with thousands of dollar in cash and credit cards on hand. It's a criminals dream.

People also wouldn't be paying thousands of dollars for the system if "scalpers" didn't buy the sytem just to sell on Ebay. There was supposed to be 400,000 units for sale today. If you watch ebay over the next couple of days probably about half of those will be up for auction.

Just did a quick search on Ebay; little over 3400 offered. Quick scan showed a low price of $1200; most in the $1500 range.

Idiots....

All that for a system with known problems.
What know problems? The sytem has been released for a little over 18 hours and there is already "known problems".
