I have a tank bought for goldfish but i will buy a heater for it. Its got a small elite internal filter. I want to put something tropical in it. ADF or few guppies and raise their fry or just a few tetras? please give you suggestions and what i should avoid.

I don't think you could more than a couple tetras. or maybe a few shrimp. I would go with a Betta.

its good to know my ideas were not stupid as your thinking along the same lines but im not getting a betta (consult my sig) so i want a few small ones eg neons or barbs. somthing colourfull as i wnt to put the tank somewhere nice as the weight is not a restriction.

if you believe that bettas wont enjoy a small tank, then shouldn't it apply to all fish? 3.6G's would not have been enough guppies, tetras, neons, or barbs let alone goldfish! a small group of endlers (if you can find them) would work but they might breed giving you a lot of frys and overcrowding the tank.

theres not a lot of varietys that will suffice in a 3.6G's and although you believe otherwise, a betta would be one of the best choices.

Hi,

I kept Bettas with ADF and they did great. Unless you buy a real aggressive Betta, it will be fine to have a ADF with him.
